youtube sidebar gone 2018

by Vinay Kumar

The YouTube sidebar went crazy but I haven’t done anything with it since 2018. I had a fun time making this video that I am still working on.

The YouTube sidebar is a large chunk of the YouTube homepage. When you scroll through your own channel’s videos, you often see a big sidebar that lists everything you’ve been watching. It’s usually not that big a deal, but when you go to a channel’s videos, you can click around to see more of their videos. YouTube has had this feature for years now, but it took a lot of work to make it work correctly.

It’s not easy to make it look good. There are a lot of little things that go into making a sidebar look good. One of these is the layout of the sidebar. If you scroll down, you will see videos that have a little triangle with the title and description, along with a little circle with the like button. To create this, you would add little dots to the edges of the triangles, and then give the circle a bit of shadow.

I think the most difficult thing about making a sidebar feel good was actually designing the video itself. Every video on youtube was a little bit different, so when you went to scroll down you would sometimes see videos that had the title and description, along with a little circle with the like button, but there wasn’t a lot of information contained in it. It’s just a video, so there’s not a lot of info there.

YouTube is very strict about what information can and cannot be displayed in a video. While you can easily make a video that is only 3 seconds long, there are some videos on the internet that are 30 seconds long or longer. Those would be absolutely unacceptable for Youtube.

Youtube changes to remove the sidebar so you can’t see the whole video. They say it’s a ‘community’ feature, but they don’t give the reason why. I think Youtube is trying to make their video better, but the reason is still unclear.

It’s very clear that Youtube is trying to make their video better, and they certainly don’t like the sidebar. But what they don’t need is the internet to be used as a reason to remove the sidebar. It just sucks that it’s so difficult to embed videos on the internet.

If you’re trying to see where the world is going, you really need to stop worrying about what the world is going to be like in the next few weeks. There’s no real way to know if you’re going to live on the internet and not be able to see the world from your window.
