Are you in the mood for some fresh fruit and vegetables? If so, this is a summer-only dessert that will make you smile, and maybe even give you a little sugar rush. Yes, I’m talking about a fruitbouquet.
It’s a combination of two different fruit recipes that come out of the same kitchen: The red wine and the white. The red wine is made with blood orange, while the white is made with lemons. The white is a bit sweeter than the red, though.
As you can see, the two desserts aren’t actually the same at all, but they’re both great ways to combine the flavors of two different fruit recipes.
One of the first things that was asked of us during our first interview was why we wanted to get into the food industry. Its a tough, competitive business, but one that we think is very rewarding if you are willing to put forth the effort. Not only do you get to create your own recipes, you also get to help people get their food on the shelf faster and easier.
The question became something of a “what are we doing” question and the answer came in the form of a quote from a local chef, who, in case you didn’t know, is the man who created the first fruit bocadillos in the ‘80s.
I’m not gonna lie, I was a little skeptical of the project but as with every other food franchise we’ve tried, it exceeded our expectations. We’re happy to say that this particular franchise is one of many that have come through our doors since we opened our doors in 2011.
For those of you who didn’t have the chance to try our first fruit bocadillos, rest assured, they are delicious. While the first ones were very soft and chewy, our more recent varieties are firmer and have a bit more bite to them. They are a little bit chewier than the first ones so you may want to make sure you’re eating them right after you take them out of the oven so that they don’t burn.
Our recent reviews of Fruit Bouquets are very favorable, with one reviewer calling them “deliciously delicious,” and another saying they’re “not only delicious, but they’re also so good!” We’re so thrilled to hear these reviews that we had to share them with you.
